Acknowledging the myriad of challenges students faced, Durbin referred to the 91���� Class of 2022 as “incredible.” 

Chicago area students are invited to attend the Chicago River Student Congress on Feb. 24. 
 

91���� will host the international art exhibit “Mom, I don’t want war.”

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded 91���� a $121,000 grant through the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program titled The Chicago STEM Teaching Collaborative.

91���� was selected as a 2022 recipient through the Ellucian Foundation. The award comes with $10,000 to support students facing economic hardship. 

Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theatre, in residence at Northeastern, will present its Holiday Concert on Dec. 15 in the Auditorium on the Main Campus. 

This year’s award recipients, Asha Brown (Sociology) and Prentice Hills (Social Work), will discuss meaning of social justice on April 3.

“Our World” will be performed at 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 at the Black Ensemble Theater, 4450 N. Clark St. in Chicago, and 3 p.m. Monday, May 6 on the Main Campus. The performance is free and open to the public.

Velma Elba and Gladie Ngiama have been named scholarship recipients of the Western Union Global Scholars Program. 
 

Public Narrative’s 28th Annual Community Media Awards will take place at 5:30 p.m. May 11 at the Jacob H. Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS), 700 E. Oakwood Blvd. in Chicago.
