In addition to the three promotions of associate professors, 17 faculty members were awarded promotion to professor and two were approved for Professional Advancement Increases.

The University congratulated over 160 faculty, staff and administrators who marked milestone years of employment at Northeastern and honored three employees for outstanding contributions. 

The May 2026 Commencement ceremony was held on Friday, May 15 at Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago.

For Chemistry major Miguel Alvarado, coming to Northeastern was a science — a mix of affordability, flexibility and support. His hard work is paying off as he plans to graduate this May.
