91 will offer qualified Afghan refugees who settle in Chicago or nearby areas the opportunity to attend Northeastern through University-sponsored discretionary waivers that will cover the cost of tuition and fees for 12 credit hours in the current academic year. The initiative will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 15 continuing and prospective students.
Dr. Shireen Roshanravan was named 91’s first Executive Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and began serving the University in this capacity in July 2021.
Michael Abreu may be only a junior at 91, but he has already accomplished a great feat. Abreu, a Computer Science major, was recently awarded the presented by the Illinois Technology Foundation.
