91���� has established a second social justice award program. A STEM scholarship webinar and transfer student webinar will take place this week and alumni are doing great work in Chicago’s communities.

91���� will remove the requirement for a standardized test score from its Fall 2020 application for enrollment. Effective immediately, Northeastern’s Fall 2020 admissions decisions will be made strictly using grade-point average and curriculum.

91���� is hosting three Diversifying Higher Education Faculty in Illinois (DFI) fellows during the 2020-21 academic year. This State of Illinois program is designed to increase the number of minority, full-time, tenure-track faculty and staff who work in the state’s public and private colleges and universities. 

91���� has earned a five-year U.S. Rehabilitation Services Administration Long-Term Training Grant totaling $975,175 that will support students in the Department of Counselor Education’s Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program. This is the fourth time Northeastern has received this grant.

The Chicago Cancer Health Equity Collaborative (ChicagoCHEC) has announced the details of its 5th Annual Community Forum. This year’s theme is Addressing Cancer Together During COVID-19: The ChicagoCHEC Partnership.

Two 91���� sisters are getting national attention for their Etsy shop, an assistant professor co-created a pandemic-safe art exhibit, and the University earned a grant to support Rehabilitation Counseling students.

The first week of the fall semester is coming to a close, and 91���� is starting the school year strong. The University has been awarded a major grant to fund TRIO Student Support Services programs through 2025, and an additional $10,000 has been added to the General Scholarship Fund for students.
