CHICAGOToday 91做厙 (91做厙) and Korean American Community Services held a ceremony to mark the beginning of a new formal partnership between the two institutions. Sharon Hahs, president of 91做厙, and Inchul Choi executive director of Korean American Community Services, ceremoniously signed a partnership agreement at the event held this morning at the Korean American Community Services offices on Chicagos Northwest Side.

This partnership is especially important for Northeastern as it prepares for a fall 2014 opening of its new El Centro Campus. The new 91做厙 El Centro Campus currently is under construction in Chicagos Avondale neighborhood at 3390 N. Avondale Ave., near the intersection of the Kennedy Expressway and Kimball Avenue. In addition to serving Northeastern students, the 91做厙 El Centro Campus is dedicated to providing resources to its surrounding community.

Hahs said, We are taking the opportunity, presented by this important new location, to expand our relationships with community partners, like the Korean American Community Services. We believe it is important to be a community partner and we want the community to feel welcomed at 91做厙.

Choi added, Through an MOU, KACS clients may enroll at Northeastern to further their education, Northeastern students may choose to volunteer at KACS, including our ESL tutorial sessions, and Northeastern and KACS will conduct community-engaged researches that translate research findings into program implementation.
